Don;t get a drunken Rich started on this. Had my oil changed by my non-FIAT local dealer. FIAT dealer supplied filter, I bought oil from halfords (old friends gave me discount :D), garage still charged me £35!!! What with labour, environmental disposal, misc charges . . .. not impressed!!!

What sort of service would that be then Rich

Was there something wrong with your oil maybe?

Re: MOT on Tuesday

Activematt,
I take it you didn't get the MOT station to adjust the lights otherwise surely they would have just adjusted and passed it, why was that?

They didnt have the time to fit the car in yesterday, so i took it to another garage near where i work, the garage that supposedly did it apparently had there MOT tester do it, so strangely enough i took there word that it had been fixed to an MOT pass standard.........i dont know why i bother:bang:

Re: MOT on Tuesday

Good luck,

Mine failed on the same thing two weeks ago, drivers side too low:bang: they just adjusted it and passed it but charged me £10 for the pleasure.
Can't grumble too much though as that was the only thing:slayer:

Well no they failed it again, but ive left the car with them today as if i take it away i'll have to pay for a full test again. So ive left it there and said i dont want it back till it passes
Matt,

If they're struggling to re-align the dipped beam on just one side then it's most likely a mis aligned bulb in it's holder. Have you ever the changed bulbs?

I had the opposite problem. Mine passed the MOT and I complained that it shouldn't have done as I could see the lights were mis-aligned. Local main agents found the issue with mine (no charge) but none Fiat garages might not be so savvy.

Well thats what i had done yesterday at the garage, they apparently replaced the bulb and aligned it in its holder.......so im guessing that wasnt the main problem.

Im just waiting for them to phone me and say somethings broken and it needs the whole cluster replacing

Re: MOT on Tuesday

This just sounds like a comedy of errors, surely you can ask for your 20 nuggets back from the garage that supposedly fixed the problem yesterday? Sounds like youve been on the end of some shady garages, (dont blame the poor poor stilo, you know you love it! :) )
