Does anyone know or point me in the right direction.club section.
As to how do I stand fitting a log burner into my van regarding mot regs.
I just brought a van suitable for window cleaning and my every day requirements.
I have built a few campers before. But not with a log burner.
Although not massive if I can make a swb Vito cumfy enuff I can make this better.
Last time we went we had no heating.this one will be cosy.
Cheers

There are no MOT requirements regarding domestic or plant installtions unless they are an obvious hazard to pedestrians or interfer with controls etc. So as long as it's in the back and the flue does not stick out the side you should not have MOT problems.
That said, it seems extremely foolish to use any kind heater in a vehicle that you cannot turn off instantly. It would not be safe to drive until the stove had burnt out.

Your insurance company might have somthing to say about it too, like no way.

Agree with G8RPI. Don't do it.

Cant you just a small propane heater or a caravan heater if it must be fitted. I had a very good underfloor heater in a caravan. It was about the size of a car battery but very effective. It was fitted so air supply and flue were all underneath, Providing you don't put the fuel tank in the path of excess heat it could work well. I think this heater was of Dutch manufacture.

Stove has nothing to do with MOT test but I would follow canal boat liveaboard guidelines on installation and ventilation. Also if you read the swedish research on pm2.5 pollution in the home I wpuldnt even have one in my home anymore

Hi,
If you need any help with insurance at all then lease feel free to drop me a line. We have a number of schemes that can cater for a log burner.
Regards,
Dan.
