Hello All, I’ve just completed a restoration of my 500 and interested to register as a vehicle of historic interest (VHI). Prior to restoring the car I used it for 2 seasons and had already had it registered as a historic vehicle so tax exempt, with a revised classification on its log book.
I’ve tried to read guidance online. I completed the V112 declaration form went to the post office applied for it to be taxed with the V112. The lady simply scanned the log books bar code gave me a receipt for the free tax and had a cursory look at the V112 and said “that’s fine”.. I guess I was expecting something more meaningful to reassure me I have correctly followed the process and the car is now tax and mot legal for road use.
Had anyone done this or gone through the process did they get/do anything different?
Thanks James
