I have a 2011 qubo with dualogic gearbox, had it for about 6 weeks. It has taken a bit of getting used to. Started off using full auto, then auto eco, now using auto manual which I find the most convenient.
Just wondered if any long term users have found any version the most economical? The auto eco doesn’t seem to be any better for fuel consumption.

Ive had the 1248cc diesel in 3 x puntos (all manual)

One was great ,one ok and another very average

I suspect your gearbox settings are just 'adapting' the rpm that the engine reaches before changing gear

The engine is fairly punchy on the turbo.. but its lack of cc makes it a bit of a poor effort at the bottom end

I like the concept of the Duologic.. but have only had petrols

The dualogic semi-auto change system is only in the 1.3 diesel base model and next one up (not the Trekking) the middle one being the Lounge (?) which I have. I started out with a Fiorino van (red..) and on that I also specced cruise control (from new) which was excellent but on all the Qubos I've had since there's not been one with cruise control. :(
I've experimented with all modes and the best one for economy is 'do it yourself'. The auto doesn't change into 5th gear until you're well past 30mph and I go into 5th at ~31mph where possible.. I've never found out if the ratio of 5th is the same as the 6th in the early 6-speed box but at 65-70mph the revs are fairly high (2500+).

I drive in Sheffield a lot and it's full of hills so you get really good at changing down as you get to the hill to get round the curves at a good speed - the auto box changes down on its own in 'manual' but you can always assist it. The current car (the latest and apparently last facelift model) has an 80PS engine (same engine but uprated somehow) and against the earlier 75PS, the power upgrade is noticeably different. Economy on the earlier one I got was always c 58mpg+ - it's a little less on this model (56mpg) but as I now commute an extra 450 miles per week the costs to me (in gallons as the price has gone stupid) are the same as when I had my Saab 9-3 2 litre auto just being around town.

I prefer using the ‘manual ‘ gearbox...one thing I notice is if going up an incline in 5th and when getting slower dropping to about 30mph it starts to chug to change down to 4th.All in all there’s not a great deal of take off with gentle acceleration and I’m only getting on average 50-55mpg for a mixture of short 2,3 mile journeys and 15 mile journeys, driving at 50-55mph on average.
