I have marea 1.6 16v fm 1999 yr.
Engine originally had 103 bhp@5750 rpm & 144 Nm@4000 rpm
after I have removed mid box and installed remus rear box and K&N 57i induction kit with denso iridium spark plugs, I went on dyno test few days ago and I have achived following:
power - 111 bhp@5965 rpm
torque- 144.4 Nm@3900 rpm.

What can you suggest that can be done with my engine do perform better.

PLS start with simple things.......:worship:

No, i haven't been on rr before mods. But, i have seen a lot of fiat bravo/brava-s with my engine having top power of max 105.4BHP, so i think that i have achived something. I was thinking on polishing cylinder head on inlet and exhaust channels and also lowering the head for let say 3mm to increase compression ratio. In that case, do i need different pistons.

Now, take all that above and add dastek's unichip Q - what i will get with all those things......?

you wont achieve much more from the 1.6 unless you spend a lot of money, and instead of spending a lot of money you might as well stick a 20v engine in and have 155bhp to begin with.

I agree with you guys, but there is a problem of registering my marea with Coupe engine 2.0 20v turbo (or 16v turbo), i cannot do that legally. I CAN buy coupe with that engine for 3000 euro, but i don't need it, becuse i have one turbocharged car already (octavia rs mk2 - 2.0 tfsi).

It's simple to change to 2.0 20v marea. I just want to do something with my 1.6 16v.
Some guys have achived a 136BHP with that mark, without adding turbocharger on it.

I have Guy Croft's technical manual on tuning dohc/twin cam fiat engines, but it's not very clear for me.......
