I've been luck enough to own many cars, but few evoke such fond memories as my 2 126's
My first was a pea green P reg in stunning condition, which I bought for £100 in 1985
The second was a bright red X reg(I think) with the sliding vinyl sunroof, bought a couple of years later
I bought them primarily to do Production Car Trials as a member of Owen Motoring Club, in the West Midlands
Both were very successful, and although I never won anything, they were very competitive, and had amazing traction on grassy hills
The best use,however,for these cars was for grass auto testing
Despite being laughed at at scrutineering once by other entrants, I had a fastest time of the day, winning the overall event, beating the usual suspects, mini's, corsa's etc.
I'd have another without a second thought
