Fiat 126P instrument cluster lamps
The instrument cluster has a number of small T8 capless lamps for various indications.
It also has two larger T10 capless lamps.
The one at top centre is to illuminate the dial at night. What wattage should this be ?
The one low left (facing the dial) is ignition / battery charging indicator. What wattage shoudl this be?
I have bought some T10 5W bulbs, but wonder if these should be different.
When I bought the replacement instrumenrt cluster second hand the lamps had been removed.
I have been unabel to find anyone who can tell me, and the parts catalog which I have (in Spanish, made for Cuba and very comprehensive) does not seem to mention these.
I want to get the correct lamps, as they will be very difficult to obtain out in Havana.
My concern is whether the illumination bulb might be too hot and damage the panel.
And whether the battery charge indicator one has to be a specific value.
I see there are 3.8 W, 4 W and 5 W versions of the T10 lamp, and even a 10W one.

My guess is 5w would be too.much and over heat. Somewhere I may have some very old Renault 5 panel lamps, if I can locate one I will tell you what they are.
Hi
Thanks for your opinion. I have the same feeling. 5 Watts seems a bit high to me. The little T8 indicator lamps are 1.3 Watts if I remember correctly.
Actually I have a specialist time served mechanic in Havana who only works on "Polaquitos" as we know the 126P, and I have asked him.
He has dismantled my car down to bare metal shell, had it restored, re-painted, and then re-built from scratch, new wiring harness, re-built engine, front disk brakes, the lot. We even had a specialist re-polish the windscreen. Magic. Now I have a friend who has bought a Polski, and we require to replace the instrument cluster.
it is difficult to refer to another one panel from another car, since after a few years the printing on the glass of the bulb fades. I just want to get the right bulbs before I send my next parcel out to him.
Maybe I should ask Ricambio in London, or Axel Gerhart in Germany.
