I am rebuilding a Magneti Marelli (Italian) alternator for Fiat 126 and require a plastic cover/ cap for the diode pack.
Can anyone help?
I have been searching the internet to no avail, though I have found one for the (Polish) Zelmot alternator.

Yes I know them very well and do a lot of business with the, but it is only this plastic cover I need. I bought a complete alternator from them a coupel of weeks ago and now am rebuilding the old one (not in the UK), sending out parts to my mechanic friend..

Aha, where is he/she based as there are a lot more EU suppliers for 126s

Havana... There are still about 10,000 Polski 126's in circulation there, and I send parts out to my mechanic every couple of weeks. I buy them from seversal sources here. But out there we do not throw anything away and re-build everything if possible. Eg. Worn alternator rotor shafts are built up and machined back down again to repair. etc... My mechanic friend is very popular as he is the only person in the country with brake tube, and whatever I send out always has a queue of people waiting. So I am looking for this green plastic cover. If I cannot find one, he will no doubt end up making one.
