This needs some background:
I bought these some 2 years ago, front ones, but used them for only, say, 2k km - the car was then just standing in the shady corner of the garden, rusting slowly to pieces  .
A few days ago, I decided to swap them over to the other 45 I am refurbishing right now, and when trying to get the same brand/model for the rear, I was said by 2 different suppliers that the model is discontinued - quotation - "because of a design defect". When I asked for details, the sales clerks did not know. One of the suppliers is Monroe brand importer for the local market and instead of explaining the design defect, he tried to sell me their Reflex shock absorbers - which is what I, with some irritation, refused    .
I was upset enough to buy a different brand for the rear axle (Sachs) and to swear I would never buy Monroe shocks again, but not upset enough to spend money for the new ones for the front.
The thing is that no matter how hard I try, I cannot find any reference to Monroe Sensatrac being discontinued - the homepage shows them available for US market:confused: .
Does someone know more about these shock absorbers - other than "management zombie talk" presented on the homepage? Possibly a reference to some comparative tests in magazines, bulletins  would help me?

Hei. I´ve got Sensa-trac all over and I´m very satisfied. They have done 35.000 km on lowered springs. Dealer is also out of stock over here, but that was explained a year ago with the Reflex taking over as a better strut.

Morten.

Ive seen both Sensatrac and Reflex for Unos. I've also used both. Reflex are the newer design and apparently better but I cant tell the difference. I believe only reflex shocks are avaiable for Unos now. There is nothing wrong with sensatrac, I believe there just isn't the market to make both.

Thank you, now I can sleep peacefully again ;) .
