Monitor help

I am looking to change from my 19" crt to a 22"lcd widescreen @£120/£140.
My basic question is do I need dvi or is vga good enough for general use (internet/games)?
Also any makes to avoid?

vga will be fine. cibox are a good budget monitor, i have one

When I got my 20" monitor last year I paid for a no dead pixel test and have been well pleased. As screens get bigger the chances of an annoying dead pixel (or several) increase and some manufacturers have particularly crap policies.
