hey im just wondering what mods you can do to a car without telling the insurance? i know for induction kits, exhaust systems and stuff like that you have to but i cant find anything on the forum about it lol

any help would be appreciated!

You should tell your insurance company about every modification, whether they will affect your premium or not though I guess it what you're really asking.

Factory options (ie. FIAT alloys, skirts and spoilers) tend not to have an affect, about the only thing that can be changed without any effect is your ICE.
 
Some insurers do have changes to ICE listed when selecting which modifications your car has. Simply upgrading a stereo won't matter, but once you start whacking in speakers, amps or anything with a screen some will want to know about it.

They all vary. Desirable wheels or a nice custom paint job can set some of them off. Timing can play a part too. They seem more likely to turn a blind eye just before renewal than mid way through the year when you are over a barrel.
