£1650, thats including the new air filter yeah?

Still reminds me of not too many years ago. I'm 25 now, but was on my parents insurance for two years till 19. Then i got my first car, 1.3 Skoda Rapid 130, worth.......£150... no mods lol......tpft was £1000 then.

Take it easy for the first few years and get a bit of NCD and it drops dramatically to where I am now :) Makes me cringe of thinking of those old running cost lol....guess one good thing comes with age......still got ID'd at asda today though :eek:

That seems a large increase just for a k&n, like stated, you'd be better off gettiing a decent induction setup like a BMC CDA, and at least then your £266 a year would see an increase in bhp, and make the extra costs worthwile!

£1600 was for a year with no mods with mods it adds about £250 but ive had policy for 6 months

My car is 60BHP but for the 89BHP version insurance would of been £1800 so really really ****ed up costing so much extra for the mod

When i asked my Insurance company did i have to declare my strut brace they said yes, it lakes the car more desireable to thieves. Im guessing the 'thieves' now come with x-ray vision as you have to be able to see through my bonnet to see it!
Cost = £10.
Still the principal though.....

well its covered now, just in case some one hits me in front and the insurance guy needs to look in the bay. want to stay legal.....

I can't see why alloy wheels cost more to insure - If secured with locking wheel bolts they're less likely to go astray than wheel trims. In fact my mum's KA has had its trims stolen twice now from outside their house. The last set were scuffed, kurbed, and black with brake dust and grit. They took the lot :confused: :rolleyes:

In which case the costs should come down because the car will be safer on cornering. Much like my foglights, which make the car safer to drive, but put the insurance premium up :rolleyes:

Exactly :eek: i took this up with a board at a local meeting ages ago but it was thrown out :rolleyes:
