I called into a Motor Factors to get new front pads for my sons Punto.
It`s a Punto 1.2 Active. (52 plate)
However Shop only had Punto 60 or 80 on their brake pad database.
He also asked me if it had ABS ?
Looking under the bonnet at the Ident plate it lists this car as Model 188A4000. (model 188)

Can anyone shed some light on this.
What do I go back to the shop looking for ?

The 1.2 Active has 60bhp, like the older mk1 Punto, im gonna assume theyre exactly the same brakes. You could go and find out from the Fiat dealers which type you need but im pretty sure the 60 pads will fit no problems. The 80 pads will be for the Sporting with 80bhp and this car will have ABS so thats why he asked that question ;)

From Fiat the pads are about 35quid, just in case Motor Factors are more expensive, but I doubt it

Thanks for that info.
Yes, it seems to confirm the conversation at the shop.
They stated that the 80 most probably had the ABS and the 60 hasn`t.
I did look at the caliper before going and I could see no ABS fitted, so it must be the 60 model as you say.

Surprised at Fiat price. Motor Factor pads made by Quinton Hazell (sorry about spelling if wrong) were £16.36 inc vat, obviously a bargain.

Once again thanks.
