Can you help me identifying what model my car is? Removed the Plastic dash cover and found a bunch of holes under it. I think that previous owner decided to put the plastic cover from Lusso so he opened new holes. But speedo is square so it should had this cover anyway. Doors are 4 bolts each, door upholstery looks like it is from L. Engine grill has 10 screws and serial number is 1047XXX. So s/n corresponds to 1965 F but looks like an L? I know that blue is the original color.

You have a 500L dash-board there----it is the only model where the instrument cluster (the big 'square'one) sits on a plinth. I don't know what the extra holes are for. I have an 'L' and only the lower row of switches.

Is it possibly an "L" that has the registration documents and the chassis plate of an earlier car?
Does the stamped number inside the bonnet match the riveted plate?
Hi Peter, long time to talk. There is no riveted plate, only stamped RH side on the bonnet and this is what I think also that they have switched the body probably many years ago.

Hi Tom, well the upper row of holes (those are not currently used) look to be original and from F big one at the centre has two cuts for positioning probably a switch. This confuses me and makes me wonder if the factory modify the last F dashboards to L? Then again numbers don't match but the stamped number look to be factory. To be honest I'm not purist I still love my car, but now I am starting to understand why previous owner sold it and brought another one from Italy that was in much worse condition and spend lots of money to restore it, in the end he spend so much that he sold it. Tomorrow will take it to the paint shop.
