so im running out of mods for my car, here is what i've done so far...

hlx alloys sprayed matt black
pipercross panel filter
twin stainless back box
middle silencer removed
9 speaker sound system running off 2 amps (inc sub)
debadged
abarth gear knob
abarth badges on the headrests
black abarth decals
yellow rear mudflaps
new cambelt and tensioners
new pads
new front suspension arms and track rod ends

i've also got a set of 35mm apex lowering springs, smoked side repeaters and goodridge stainless brakeline kit to fit... and plan to paint the calipers yellow, and matt black the wing mirrors and whole front plastic grill section...

have probably missed a couple of things... but im just kind of looking for any ideas of more things to do... but on a reasonable budget of course :)

Sounds good buddy, If I were you I would gloss black the wheels and wing mirrors, change the rea mudflaps to black, also add a front splitter I have just fitted a golf vr6 deep chin splitter, ok it would be best if you had 2 to make it perfect but looks good and aggressive, my wagon is lowered 50mm and it scrapes every now and again but the splitter is only 17 quid off eBay so nice and cheap and looks good see my no frills project log to see the pics.

You could also save up for a set of lens bsx deep dish rims not cheap but will look sweet on a slammed ride.

Also for not much you could detail it and detail the engine bay.

Keep it up buddy and keep us informed of your progress.

Cheers

Robin

i thought about detailing the engine bay, and i plan on fitting a bmc cda forced air carbon fibre induction kit too, but where is the best place to buy all the silicone hoses and stuff? pretty hard to find kits for a 1.6 hlx

ebay, companies sell all different sizes seperatly and of all colours.
just measure the ones you want :)

is there an easy way to find out what size they are without actually measuring them, in the handbook or anything?

the bmc cda is more or less a universal fit, they have upto a 1.6 , 1.6 to a 1.9 and 2.0 plus

yeah man i've found one on the bay with all the pipes and fitments to fit my car for £175 all in, didn't think that was too bad :)

As people have said you could contact fiat for the sizes and get them from ebay, or you could contact roose motorsport or samco and see if they would be able to knock you a set up. either intake/coolant/vacuum

Plans soundd great, get some pics up, may help other members to advise you if they know what the car looks like already

may be putting the modding on hold now as i've just realised i can get insurance on a mk3 golf gti 16v 150bh 2.0L :) £1400, not bad for an 18 year old lad with one years no claims! aha

thats not bad considering.I had a rst series 1 custom model at 19,paid 1900 tpft :)

I nearly bought a prodrive scooby when i was 23, insurance was only £900, but decided to sell my flat and buy a house instead. surprisingly i moved to a better area and had a garage and even with the scooby garaged it was £1500 full comp

I had a mk2 golf gti when i was 18 i paid £540 tpft

i pay £218 fully comp protected on my wagon now lol
