MK2 Punto 1.2 16v Sporting

im more of a mk2 fan than mk2b but either way once you get one let us all know!!!!

(get a stilo) LOL.... buy robs??? its silver and basicly a larger punto. 1.2 engine and a good price!!!!!

Me too, I'm a mk2 sporting fan for life, but the active sport in black, debadged grill/slammed/nice rims etc is looking pretty sexy. I was looking at stilos, but the price is abit more than I'm looking to spend as well as the size. What's insurance like on them? I've got 1300 to spend on the car its self but was thinking about spending abit less, and having some money left over for little mods. Dang, Lexus lights are definitely first thing on my list since all of the attention i was getting on sunday ;) haha joke, no lexus lights in sight!

I will be aiming for this;

Yeah the punto for me at my age was insane on insurance. That black mk2 looks sweet, apart from the bonnet bra :p I will keep you all posted, i have found a few within my limits and around, with one in boness that has everything im after + more but for 1700... No service history too so after my 'incident' i am weary. He assures me its legit, and has spent over 500 quid on new breaks, handbreak, exhaust and some others. Ill see how it goes.

andi show me where you can buy a grande for less than 1700 and ill get one myself!. you gotta listen to his budget lol. and its not a 1.2 16v either

just ask for the v5 number and check the previous mot history online. it will shed a overall light on its past matenance, i was lucky that in 10 years my stilo has never failed a mot and only got a advasory last year for exhaust XD. gotta be a good sign

Ryan, I know your a fan of the Mk2's but, if you get a Grande, then it'll be cheap on the insurance, same size engine 1242cc, which isn't the pokeyest of engines, but it's economical, easy to maintain, good fuel comsumption. I've managed 325miles on 1 tank before & that wasn't all motorway either (Local Hero Meet 2011).

But the Grande is Ugly

Personally i would keep the standard lights and Smoke them, Not a fan of the lexus ones....My Mk2 was black and looked good with a DIY smoked rear Lights.

I've been interested in the blue one Johno. I never thought I'd like the colour but it's nice and striking.

I've seen a few I like; bit pricey but I'm a bargaining machine( my old car was for sale for 1250, got it for 880 lol.)

This one has alloys, a new clutch and sump, tints and an exhaust. Cutting off my work load as I'd be doing this anyways.

This one is closer to me, has 2 sets of alloys included along with a sub etc, but when I asked he said it has NO service history. Shall I just ask him for the vin number?

And this is just a tidy mk2 sporting in black, with alloys included this time - so would know exactly what I'm buying, and how it drives.

More I look at 'em, more I like em. My car was collected today - was a very sad moment :'(

@Andi_F - I shall never get a grande, unless you fancy selling Dubster for 1300- :p

I'm tied between the black and grey. The grey, with all the black accents like tints + rims looks ace. But obviously pitch black would look nice too. Decisions decisions. I guess it all comes down to price / mileage.

Yeah, something about mine being up for sale and open to offers :p

Insurance for me's about £300 all mods declared, fully comp. But then I'm an old bugger and have 4 years NCB  Should still be cheap though, can't remember what the difference was going from my mk2 8v to the Stilo as it was 6 years ago.

Honestly though, check out the thread in the classifieds bit so you know what you know all you need to and if interested, shoot me a PM :)

Don't mind the 2b's though if they're done right. Really colour dependant though, that black one looked decent for example. Think you would struggle to get a GP in budget really at the moment, don't mind the look of them myself but again I think it's slightly colour dependant and the spec of them too that makes the car.

resend one in falkirk? you sent the same link. The yellow one has done 167k miles, and is yellow. The other looks great with the abarth kit but I'm looking for a sporting, cause of the interior + extras it has like city steering + fog lights. I might make the woman an offer on the grey active sport in glasgow cause it's got everything I'd eventually put on a stock one, and only 1 small dent in the rear, and if it's that bad - i'll use my business card and get Brad to sort it out cause I'd rather he did it than someone else. Only 64k miles - full service history, new clutch and sump.

That's definitely the nicest yellow one I've seen. Bit steep on the price though :/... I'll arrange a viewing of the one in Renfrewshire soon. I shall keep you all posted.
