that is your ECU, the fuse box is right near where the bonnet opening lever is above the accelerator pedal.
Thanks, I had checked with a friend and he pointed that out,
Feel slightly embarrassed at such an obvious mistake but in my defence it is hard to see and I made the mistake of believing the Haynes manual when it said it was on the left!

hey its no problem! i am sorry for the rather direct response to your message. i was unbelievably tired.
to me it seems strange to see an ECU there! every panda i have had has all been a carburettor type with no ECU. its nice to see that its inside, out of the way.
always always ask if you are unsure
