Mk1 and mk2 Speedos?

Just wondering if anyone has had the two in there hands?

Are the conectors are the back different? hold hard would it be to make a mk2 one fit a mk1?

I have recently bought a mk2 one and i am gonna give it ago fitting it to a mk1, as my mk1 rev counter is screwed so i thought i might aswell give it ago!!!

Any tips on this would be good!

I am a bit unsure of this so don't take it as gospel but.....
I belive the MK1 Bravos had a mechanical speedo and the MK2's had an electronic. So unless you can get a sender the speedo wont work. I believe the sender just screws ontop of the gearbox output instead of the cable drive for the mechanical output.

They are both electronic, the difference is the mileometer. I think I remember someone trying this and the display just flashed or something.
