Hi guys

Decided to keep the HGT in the end. It just wasn't worth letting go of it for less than a grand.

Still looking for an original exhaust for it. In order to expand my search, has anyone ever tried to fit a Mk1 HGT exhaust to a Mk2 HGT?

I see on ePer they have different part numbers, and they also look different, but does anyone know for sure if they are actually compatible?

Thanks!

I have bee told that they just do not fit, don't know why never did get an explaination, but i can't see as any reason why not? my 1.4 would have accepted both underneath so it's not a space issue, can only guess it's bore?

Its the flange... pardon the expression...

My MKII has got from the Manifold a MKI exhaust system which has the circular clamp fittment from what i can see this i think is because its the first of the MKII Bravo's...

The MKII yr2000 onwards seem to have the system that has the three hole trianglular flange from the downpipe and the back of the CAT on it...

Hope im actually right in my description....

thanks guys.

But I'm only taling about from the cat backwards. So not connecting to the manifold.

Does the same problem exist, do you suppose?

If so, can't an exhaust shop just weld the correct flange onto the end?

Yes the correct fitment could be welded on i guess...

Mine system again has the circular clamp from the cat back.....
