Punto (Mk2/2b) Misfiring problem

When I accelerate up the hill my car (mk2) misfiring but if I lose accelerate then it will drive fine, poured some cleaner in tank and drove it for 60 miles but still same and the engine manangement light flashing while misfiring till I try to control the misfiring with acceleration. Some garage believe is coil pack and some believe different sensor. (Punto 2001 1.2 16valve. Please anybody can help me? Thanks

Code read will give a better clue -- it's why the car has OBD2!

If the milage is 60K+ then it's probably a head gasket going.

It could be a number of issues, Plugs, Leads, Coil, MAF, Fuel pump, Lambda.....You won't know for sure until you plug in.

Pretty rare for that to put the EML on, though.
