2015
Mileage

Hi welcome, so, unfortunately, if replacing the speedo its essential to get one with a mileage lower than your old one, its possible to increase the figure but not "clock" or reduce it, yours only having 19k on is a problem, bar replacing it again you're stuck, sorry.

So I was told that the CPU that held the mileage was not held on the motherboard attached to the unit is this not true, we even tried to put the new lcd on the old motherboard which worked but the lcd was upside down and bitty but held the correct milage

There is kit out there that can change the mileage downwards! If you contact member "typecast boy" who runs the you tube channel "love 500" he would be able to advise you!
@typecastboy are you able to offer any help , I still have my old lcd and unit and have tried to put the new lcd on the original board but the digits are upside down

iv bought this cluster/speedometer. but it has 89k miles on it and my car has 23k. does anyone know to lower the mileage on it?

You can't unless you have specific kit to be able to do it. MultiECUScan can up mileage but not reduce it. I do have the kit to be able to do it and can adjust it to the exact mileage of your car. It needs to be put into a car temporarily to do it and next week, I shall be changing a dash in which case the speedo comes out so I would be able to do it for you if you wanted to send it to me. I'll adjust it and send it back. You would need to do a proxy alignment using MultiECUScan as the mileage will flash. When that is done it will align to your car.
