The other day when I was driving I noticed my mileage was flashing - not the tripometer or anything you can reset, but the static mileage. It's not done it since - anyone know why?

cheers

Hi mate,

Flashing Mileage means you need proxy alignment carried out by Fiat examiner (ie dealer). Even though its no longer flashing, TECHNICALLY you should still have the proxy alignment procedure carried out to ensure that everything is syncronised/ aligned correctly via the CAN network.

Hope that helps,
Alan

can network is the computer thing in the car that all the sensors and stuff hook up to for the ECU and that.

whats happening is something (usually the dash in the case of the stilo) is not giving the right return to the ECU as it may have lost the message (code) it has to send,

a proxy alignment makes sure all your nodes (sensors and sh!t) are singing from the same hymm sheet

i think
