mileage and trip display

Hi I was driving to work yesterday and the milage and trip digital display went off in my Brava 16v.
Does anyone know what could be wrong (loose connection i'm hopeing).
has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it.?

display problem

when i test drove the brava i bought, the display was also dead. i pointed it out, and when i collected the car, i was told that the backlight bulb/s were replaced. as its an lcd display this sounds about right. dont know how to get to them though. if you've got the haynes manual, this should tell you.............my guess?....it will be a f***ing sod to get to!

i asked one of the mechanics at my local fiat dealers and was told to check the plug at the back of the clocks i'll have a look this weekend i tried last night and your right it is a f***er to get at.

fixed it.

I fixed the fault it was a bulb at the back of the dash and yes you were right it was a complete **** to get the facia panel off but worth it in the end to see everything working again.
