Mesh the grille

I know this may seem stupid but I was wondering if its possible to mesh a 'sx front grille without having to cut the OE plastic one away? I know that I would have to use honeycomb mesh or similar mesh due to the old grille being visable behind. I want to do this due to me not really wanting to hack at my bumper just so its easy enough to revert to standard when I come to sell.

ok cool Al, how do I go about fitting that?
is the oe not bonded to the bumper then?
any pics of the hgt grille?

Grill has 2 bolts and clips at the end mate. Clips to positiona and bolts to secure. Should have thought it goes straight on as all the bonnets are the same.

Perhaps get mowies and a can of paint?

Funnily enough I want to do the same after cutting out all the horizontal and rear elements. Can't stand cleaning all those box sections.

done it boys i cant see how you could easily mesh over the top you wold have to get a perfect fit around the edges, not easy IMO, But i cut mine out with a knife heated on a blow torch so it just sliced through easily,
we are talkin about the one with badge, Right?
But i`d cut out th eold one i did think about over the top and decided against when i found out how hard it would be,
but let us know how you get on.
