well im off for xmas to north wales for xmas and new year so merry xmas and happy new year to all. i think the journey is going to be interesting as its still snowing in some parts or has had a large amount of snow but im going to give it my best shot in getting there tomorrow im leaving around 3pm from the far south east coast of ramsgate for north wales and only 320 miles so hoping i have almost no problems on the journey

I second that! Have a safe drive, remember it's the idiots on the road as much as the weather! I could write a book on the sights I see on a daily basis! Seems to be primarily old people at the moment lol.

Well arrived safely. I left at 3.30pm and arrived at 11.45 and was driving in -12 at some points and the front end was slowly freezing up before my eyes as I was driving it got as far as the bottom of the windscreen the rest of the front was completely white were it froze as I was going along but thanks to the new thermostat it was nice and toasty inside the cabin and the temp gauge stayed at half way all the time.
Had a 40 min delay on the m42 where 2 new mercs hit one another in the icy conditions and one rolled it almost looked like a smart car it was that bad but the marea made it and now she is sitting in 2 and a half foot of snow and some cars are totally buried that's how much there is here I had trouble opening the door to get out when we arrived. But thanks for all the comments I post some pics up of the conditions soon
