General meet's??

Hi all, I recently renewed my love affair with cinqs after an 8year absence I had one as a first car and it survived for almost 2years. And recently I've started a new job and needed a second car so I bought a £300 sporting cinqs with a full years tax and test and some service so I'm incredibly happy with my purchase and I wanna keep the car for as long as humanly possible.

Can anybody tell me of any common fault or things to look out for and any meets scheduled I wanna get right back in the saddle with this car and enjoy the furious 54bhp engine

2 biggest in MY book are ;

rust in rear end, ( look and see)

overheating issues - get the rad flushed, fan checked and then see that the stat. is working correctly,

good time of year to find stuff , major events will be found in RHS column of homepage,

Cheers charlie yeah the back end (cough) (cough) fuel tank looks a bit rough so I'll think I'll get that swapped out just for peace of mind

it was rust around the wheel arch/boot floor area that was apparent in mine,
