I earn £535.29 per week before tax and do 37.5 hours a week driving a forklift about half my time and sitting at a computer the other half, also paid for overtime but rarley do i take home the basic £404 per week

Also get a bonus depending on company profits yearly,,

You may wonder why i chose to reply to this thread, well i was an apprentice mechanic in a VW/Audi dealership, 1st year i was on £40 per 40 hour week, £1 per hour, then on 2nd year £45, i had to leave as other 2nd year apps were up to £65 - £90 for arnold clark guys, the techs were not on good wages either, the only qualification i have is a forklift cert and make quite a good wage on it.

this is why trades like chef'ing struggle
i was a chef for about 15 years
young lads were coming in doing 6/7 days a week,15+ hours a day and making 1/2 the money their mates were on mon-fri office jobs
they dont realise they need to treat staff better to retain staff
