Technical MAY 2022 NEW EURO 6 ABARTH MTA

I have ordered a new Abarth built may 2022 euro 6 and it has arrived in uk at the dealer now but there is a problem the dealer tells me when they did the pdi it has something to do with emmissions holmigation and they need to get a software update from the factory and a new part so i may not get my car till Sep 22 does anyone know is this common for a new car.
