Max Tyre Size on Punto Mark 1

Hi.

I was wondering what is the maximum Tyre size that will fit on a standard 14" Rim without any scraping issues on the inner wheel arch of a Mark 1 Punto.

Scraping the wheelarch isn't the issue -- the tyre coming off the rim is. I'd suggest you stick to standard sizes.

Nice one mate. Would a tyre size meant for a 14" rim come off due to driving or hitting the inner arches?

If the tyre is too wide for the rim it can either come off or damage the sidewalls.

There is a Bridgestone guide (catalogue, etc.) donloadable from t'interweb which gives allowable tyre sizes for rim sizes. It's the width of the rim that is critical.

Can't be 100% about the rubbing, but provided it's not lowered, my best guess is they'd be fine. You might find someone in the Punto section has already done it (hint).
