The material on my door panels looks crap! any1 know how to change the material to a blue 2 match my car? has any1 changed theirs and have you got pictures?[/COLOR]

depends on your opinion, it looks better to just take the rub strips off than to colour code them.
although, if fitted with gt sideskirts, it looks pretty good with them on:yum:

I get the feeling that they mean the door card fabric 
not the rub strips.
If so best thing is to cover them...Frank_1 is it the inside? and if so, why does it look bad? Are they doorcards from another model?

Yeah i think he means the door card fabric, and you want it the same colour as the car on the outside right? I think you would have to spray the panel with some kind of fabric glue and recover the internal panel with bass box carpet or similar, if you try to cover the actual panel in material i think this will be absolutely a nightmare.

you can spray your door card fabric, ive seen it done well but i can imagine the majority of the time it'll look retty terrible. I want mine changed to cos the 55sx interior fabrics arnt the nicest
Yeah I have a 55s and I don't think fiat could make their mind up what colour to put in so they chucked em all in. Its like a criss cross pattern of blue, red, green, pink, purple etc....
However I want some ELX door cards, they look better and have speaker pods

Yer i mean the door cards. Was there any made with blue material on them? if so were could i find some any1 know?
What do you have, 3 or 5 door?
theres about 20 different varieties of colours, and I *think* I may have the nicest.
they are 5dr elx cards with speaker bits and they are immaculate (until I got them ), they are blue fabric in the middle with a hard plastic bit at the top (unlike base models which get fabric at the top and stick on vinyl everywhere else :yuck: ), and the fabric is nicer quality (much), and the whole door card is mounted on black hard moulded plastic, wheras base models are mounted on literally cardboard, which over 10yrs goes soggy and bendy:bang:

Yep, they are same look of the speaker pods as the sporting...but finding elx's that are breaking, is gonna be a bit harder.
So I *think* nicking faster4tec's is good plan

mu ha ha, it stays locked away in a barn, where there are swallows AND housemartins nesting in it, so even with a makeshift cover it gets bombared with bird shte all the time

anyways, heres the 98-99 5dr ELX door cards.
my fav bit is on teh front doors, you get special interior mirror blanking plates that 'mate up' with the dashboard, making it feel much much better, and theres no horrible gap (you even get it on gt's the gap I mean).
Having trouble tracking down the passengers side bolt cover, I've had two new ones from fiat desira, but neither fitted, and the only ones that do seem to fit are the 94-98 elx blanks, but they are a different colour, and the mottling on the plastic is a slightly different texture:yuck:
speaking of which, earlier type ELX's had the same shape door cards, but were trimmed in some kind of hairy/velour material, which is also YUCK, and they were mounted to cardboard, wheras 98-99 doorcards are mounted to very solid black moulded plastic, and has insulation glued to the inside of it
