Why get 2 poor parts rather than 1 good part? It doesn't make sense mate.

Eibach pro springs on OE shocks (assuming they're not broken!) will outhandle a kit for £175. I'd put money on it. Even 'budget' apex kits are ~£330.

Just to let you know, the germans had superior tanks to us during ww2 ... the tiger tank pooned the defending forces. learn your history most of the germans froze to death in russia due to lack of clothing and equipment necasery to survive in that sort of climate.

richie is right.

you pay for what you get.

even i know this and all i know about suspension is that 40mm drop is lower than 20. and the car will handle better.

MEH

I would recommend cheap styling mods which you can pick up on ebay easy enough.
tbh I would not bother uprating your suspension.....unless your gonna use it for a track day set up but is it really worth doing on 1.2 (no offence meant) Although I do agree if your gonna do it, do it properly with quality products

I have 7 sporting/gt alloys at the moment, 4 with good tyres, also have full selt of bolts and locking nuts, need cleaning and a couple need balancing. PM me if your interested, I also have GT2 seats.....

i quite like the look of your interior mate from what i can see on your sig is your dash sprayed black?

im going to spray mine black with red bit like yours

Sparying is simple but you can import some fake carbon fibre wrap for £150 and you get alot of it. A m8 got from a company called eurodyne.

if i was to put carbon on a car then id have to have a good fast looking car but because this is my first car its just basically an experiment to see how things work out so im planning to spray my dash black with red metallic at first i wanted some special paint that glows and things just for the grills and centre console and things but i cannot seem to find it in a spray can

I think ive got an idea i could by some red flake to sprinkle over the clear lacquer and let it dry then lacquer it again this effect will look good on the black dash.. what you think?

Look, everything has been done before. Just take that as a given.

Now take a step back and think about what you want to do.

Very little to do with cars is unique and the only way you end up with something unique is by spending lots of time and money on it, or doing something so terrible horrible that no one would ever dream of doing it. There's good unique and bad unique. One requires money and knowledge, the other requires bad taste.

TBH you don't need a fast car to want it to look nice....Spraying is an easy way to go but it's also an easy way to make a mess...A coloured interior would look nice as long as it's kept simple and not OTT. Personally I would rather use a wrap as it's simpler to do the question is the cost..Check out ebay for bargins and some styling companies via google search. Not sure if anyone has done them on here but if they have they would be a good person to speak to about them.

Cheap mods?

Change the side repeators to clear or smoked
Spray the interior dash
Tint your rear clusters
Shiny Tax disk holder

But the best mod you can do is to give it a good service. Change the spark plugs, HT leads, oil filter and air filter and replace all the oil. It'll be the best thing you do to your car.

DON'T:
Tint your windows (around £100 or more) - looks ridiculous on a standard car anway
Lower it (take your pic from this thread on the price)- looks ridiculous on a standard car anway
Debadge the bonnet and boot (they leave holes which you then need to have Filled and sprayed)

Alloys should be your first port of call if thats what you want to do. I'd then look into buying colour coded bumpers and wing mirrors.

I'm the one to talk to about cheap mods ha

Upto now ive spent £200.50 on mine and ive done the following mods.

Janspeed Exhaust Cat back
Smooth sided it
Tinted rear lights
Xenon bulbs+sidelights
Chrome pedals
Chrome gear knob
Clear Side Repeaters
LED Washer jets
Painted rear drums
Chrome aerial
sprayed door handles, mirrors and plastic strip above number plate
Clear front indicators.

I think that alloys are the first modification to visit. It is one of the most striking styling upgrades yet also improves performance since alloys are usually bigger and wider than stocks, so better tyre options become available.

I saw a set of 4 Punto GT alloys on ebay for £55.00. Minor scuffs and scrapes, as expected, but excellent value for money.

Then re-furb them in anthracite like I did, or your colour of choice.
They look great on a red car imo

I heard that when U replace your wheels with alloys, you need to have the same size alloys as your original wheels , otherwise the performance and wear will suffer. Is this true?
