On the dash there is a cassette player and it says CD controls or something similar.when i first saw car i thought there must be a CD player with it as it said CD on dash!! In the manual it mentions a 6 CD changer unit.

Can anyone help with these questions
1. how much do these cost?
2. where can you buy them from(at a good price)
3. what model is it?
4. where and how would you fit it to car stereo that is already there?

Thanks in advance for any help

1. I think you can get them for about £130
2. www.cel-direct.com is one, plenty of others
3. Its a grundig MCD 36, 40 or 46
4. If you have a mk1, there should be a cable already in the boot.

Have a look here

It contains all the info you need.

Re: Re: marea weekend sx stereo questions

You can fit any Sony changer, including the minidisc changer if you fit a converter box. Costs about £50 for the converter and you can get from Halfords. Watch Ebay for 2nd hand changers. Converters are available for most factory fit equipment, handy for those cars where the stereo is built into the car, as is becoming more common!

Weekend CD Changer Location

4, Whatever CD changer you buy, can be located behind the left hand boot panel. The existing rubber strap can be removed, leaving you with 2 perfectly spaced mounting points. Locate the CD changer so the cassette is at the bottom.
