Technical marea weekend jtd105 cuts out

hi guys ,i have an ongoing problem ,my car is a 2000 reg marea weekend jtd 105 with 80k on theclock..been a great car!.but over the last month it has cut out on me 3 times,twice when cold once when hot.allways does it when i am pulling away from a junction.cuts out no warning lights come on.leave it for 10 mins then crank over the engine(all the warning lights go out when cranking) then she splutters into life after a few mins of cranking. like i say 3rd time now but will do a few hundred miles inbetween.anyone had a similar problem?? i seem to think it is pulling air into the fuel system..as it feels rather like it has run out of fuel..would be gratefull if anyone could throw some light on this! ...great forum..found it really usefull

hi found the problem..thought i would let you know..it was the fuel pump..further investigation showed up a diesel leak when cold(running down the back of the engine.) tried to get s second hand replacement..not a hope!..quoted £345 + vat for a recon oneplus fitting!..found a place to recon mine for £250..got it stripped ..a very tricky job indeed.wil let you all know how it goes when i get the pump back.
