Hey chaps and ladies,

I have posted on fiatboo but no replies asof yet, can any of you help?

In the near future the missus and I are looking to get a woofer....

Am I right in saying that the marea weekend had a dog guard which folded up into the recess in the boot roof?

When I'm working I like to have access to the boot from the rear seats but if I buy a standard tube/screw fitting one I will have to remove it everytime I go to work.

If so, does anyone have one or know where to get one?
I have looked on ebay but only the generic ones are avaliable.

thanks

Darren

I don't know if what you say it right but if it is I want one too. Off work today cos I'm snowed in so will do a bit of surfing to see if I can find anything about them. Will let you know (if I find two!).

Cheers chap,

I had a little look but couldn't find anything!

I'm sure I went to view a weekend with the guard though.....

If you look up to the roof from inside the boot you will see that the boot has a 2-3inch recess from the rest of the roof.

I'm damn sure I saw a fold 'up' dog guard, Might of even been a extra at the factory.....

Darren

I have one of those, I got it second hand of Bravo/a Owners Organisation, its factory extra, folds up by the luggage light/folds down into clips on the back of the seats I use it as a luggage barrier when we go on holiday. sorry not for sale

Thanks for confirming that I am not going mad!

Well now I know it exists I just need to try and find one... any ideas?

I'd just buy a fold up dog cage & keep it in the boot . Folded they take up little room, but you can get sizes to fit any dog.

Ive got one too, came with the car. Sorry also not for sale(n)

I think I'm just going to have to sneak around any scrappies i find and have a gander, you never know what i might find!

if anyone does know of one avaliable please let me know :)

thanks

Darren

I have now phoned local fiat dealers and they reckon they still make them and can order one in :slayer:

Only problem is that it's £83 + vat!!!

But at elast I know I can get one, scrappies for now though, I have until June, which is when we buy the doggie :)

Darren

Did you get a part number? £83+ does sound a bit steep but when you think that a normal dog guard will cost at least £40 for a decent one its not that bad. Think of it as £50 extra rather than £95. Lets face it two weeks after you buy it you will have forgotten about the cost but will enjoy the convenience for a long time.:)

Sorry chap, I didn't think about getting the part number :(

I'm going to keep trying scrappies for now and hopefully I will find one for £20 or something :)

I will try and find the part number for ya

Darren

if you have the fold up dog guard with brackets to hold it to the roof and lock into the seat then I am very intrested!

I have been looking everywhere, the scrappies half an hour away has 7 marea's and I'm ment to be going there on the weekend to have a look, they won't say if they have one with a guard as they are a bit sketcky

If you can let me know chap that would be grand!

thanks a lot

Darren
