Technical marea jtd cuts out

hi guys, still having problems with my 200 1.9 jtd..here's how the story goes..started to cut out now abd then injector light came on..wouldnt start..left 10 mins then it spluttered into life..like it had run out of diesel.noticed diesel running down the back of the engine..traced this to the high pressure pump..had it reconditioned ,all fine for a week..then it cut out again ..injector light on..same problem..it can do it hot or cold. checked engine bay overfor loose connections ect..found a snapped rubber pipe from the egr valve to the borg warner?..reconnected this..now makes a humming sound and my cutting out fault remains.last time it cut out ,when you turned the ignition key the first click(when you can usually hear the lift pump run) you could hear a bubbling sound from the fuel tank area.any one got any ideas?? once it has restarted it can run fine for a couple of hundred miles. is it time for a diagnostic?? how much do fiat charge for this??..help! or im selling it!

Have you checked for splits in the fuel pipes or a loose connection on the filter?

If you have any suspicions about the fuel pressure or pumps, a diagnostic might help to pinpoint this. Also, replace the fuel pump relay (remove glovebox) just in case its intermittent. Any decent independant garage with good diagnostics should be able to check for you - doesent have to be a FIAT garage.

hi guys, thanks for the pointers, have checked all pipes and connections,also changed the pump relay.seems ok so far..but hey! ive been here before will let u know how it goes
