I live in France, and have just bought a UK spec Marea weekend(2001).Does anyone know if the headlights can be adjusted or bulbs and bits change to conform to continent spec without having to change the whole light.Thanks.Paulg

Yes you can buy headlamp adjusters but an easier way would be to buy LHD lights. Won't cost too much. Main question is why buy a UK spec for use abroad?

The reason for buying a ukspec car is price. What I have just paid £1500 for would be about£4-5000 here in france (for lhd!).Headlights ,and indeed all car parts are very pricey too, hence the original question.So...how then are they adjusted(without using stick on deflectors)? It almost looks as if the bulb can be turned!!??. if you have RHD poly headlights on your marea, sell them on ebayUK or even on fiatforum, they usually get a good price (£50-100).

that should pay for a set of LHD headlights in a french scrapyard.

Its impossible to convert them to LHD, the angle and direction is built and molded into the headlight.

This is partially true... unless you have polyeliptical lights (see pic). I've described the process on this forum some time ago.
