Technical Marea Headlight conversion

I'm looking to do my headlight conversion, but after looking at the wires i don't know which ones to cut? i can find the coloured wires fine but which black wire do i cut? the guides don't say..

Also the drivers side light only works when it wants to, i have to keep turning the light on and off til it comes on, anyone else have this issue?
