Technical marea estate, scrap it or fix it???

Female here so i apologise in advance for anything you dont understand what im saying (or trying to say)

I have just bought a marea estate and there is a light on the dash that is on most of the time looks like a hose with something comeing out of it, i have been told that its the warning light for the engine?? is it?

Also it runs like a bag of bolts, it seems to miss fire and doesnt tick over well??
Also... and this is my last one, when you change gear there is a funny noice like whirring is this what its supose to sound like???

Iv never had a fiat before and dont know anything about them?? What do you all think sould i scrap it.

Its only 5 years old!!

I dont think you should scrap it everything described sounds fixable

Maybe should be moved to marea section????

sounds like a sensor amiss to me, probably worth going to fiat and getting a diagnostic test done on the car

The whirring noise when you depress the clutch is likely to be the clutch release bearing, not an especially cheap thing to fix; I'm guessing the clutch is pretty heavy too. You can probably live with it for now unless the clutch it too heavy.
