Marea Brakes

My boyfriend is trying to replace the back brakes on my Marea 2.0. He has take the caliper off as it has compressed and will not decompress and still won't, so there is not enough room to get the brake pads in. Has anybody had this prob and do they know how to fix it.

has he removed the cap from the brake fluid pot under the bonnet?

there is a tool for this, ive never had to use one but maybe you have to for a marea, see link,

do the rear pistons just push in or are they threaded on mareas?

The piston is screwed not pushed back into the cylinder. Don't try to use a spreader or you'll trash the cylinders.

There is a tool to help you do this, but i've never seen one.
