General MAP sensor update ?!?!?

Hi Folks can someone help me out.....

A while ago i was skipping through the pages on here and found something about a MAP sensor or ECU update (think it was map) that had been done by Fiat on most stilos. I want to know is there any way of finding out if my car has had the updates done to it without having to get it hooked up to the examiner system at my nearest Fiat garage...basically im a tight arse and dont want to pay out big bucks if it has already had the update done.

Does anyone know of another way of finding out.
Just made me think about this the other day as it seems to be using quite a bit of juice, and dont know if its just the wifes big boots sticking the pedal down

The throttle body update isn't that critical, ive not had it done, as far as i have found out by asking questions is that since the 1.6 ( is yours a 1.6??) has idle issues and fluctuating idle tickover, due to is getting a very slight resin type buildup of crap on the ventura of the butterfly inlet, they did and up date to stop the butterly constantly opening and closing to try and sort out a steady idle, have a look at the guides section up top and have a look at throttle body cleanout..

Deckchair did a good writeup on it, with diagrams on it ,, will have a look,


using a lot of petrol at the mo??, check tracking and tyre pressures, this had a massive impact on mine,,,

what is it getting to the gallon??
