General Mannol / Fanfaro engine oil

Just curious if anyone here is using these brands.

A German based company own the two brands and the oil apparently is blended in Lithuania.

In the uk most people stick to a brand
Or just get cheapest thats upto spec....

I usually use eurocarparts own blend of oil....
But if castrol / shell / halfords are decent bang for buck id use them too

Personally, I've always tended towards Millers.

I was curious about the brands listed on ebay.

I noticed Westway Oils on ebay, seems to be a similar setup to Millers.

The automotive oil market is a multi billion££££££ & then some industry & there are many companies who want a piece of the action. Don't be taken in by all the hype & spiel by some brands. As long as the spec is right for your car the oil will be fine.

The motor factors I use have moved from Millers to Morris of Shrewsbury. Now when I was a boy, many yonks ago, Morris of Shrewsbury was a well respected oil company has obviously carried on. Looks like I'll be using Morris's from now on!

I'm an old git & cynical to boot. I'm always bemused how some are taken in by advertising. The amounts that some companies spend on this is quite staggering. Then again if it gives you piece of mind. It's all down to the feel good factor, isn't it?..
