Each Grande Punto is equipped with a maintenance reminder system that illuminates a service message on the instrument cluster when the system has determined thjat its time for regular maintenance. After maintenance is preformed the service indicator needs to be reset so the comuter can track when the next service is due. A Fiat Dealer will reset the service indicitor if it carries out the maintenance. If you do the service yourself you can reset the light manually.
1. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine
2. Press the odometer reset button repeatedly until the total millage is displayed.
3. Turn the ignition switch to "OF"
4. Press and hold the trip odometer reset button.
5. Turn the ignition switch to "ON". Do not start the engine.
6. Release the trip odometer reset button after the service display counts down from 10 to 0 and the Service Light Resets.
