The MAF does read out as an error code on the diag check, but it wont trigger the light to come on - it may be that you have/had an occouring error that got deleted after 10 starts.
Reet..The problem hasn't got any better even though the light remained off. My fuel consumption went down rather dramatically to 100 miles to £20 when I was getting 170-180 previously. So, overnight I tried another ecu reset hoping that leaving it longer would do a full reset. Started the car this morning, light has now come back on and the existing problem of a slight dodgy idle and misfiring has come back which is why I did a diag in the first place. But, if I disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes..the light goes out and the dodgy throttle reponse comes back...GRRRR. Hopefully someone will have the answer as it's getting really annoying!
bring the old one down to mine at the weekend mr beeson, will use some random cleaning products out of the old mans garage and see what we can do
Gonna try fix my car tomorrow so should have it for the weekend.
