Not had a chance to be on here, very busy with work, so time for A big update:

One of the LDRs got water damaged in the winter months so I changed the layout to just a single one in the centre just below he hood. Looks nice I think.

I'm in the process of installing the 100w sub, I ordered a connection cable from a scrappy and finally figured out the wiring.

Ordered a 52mm Gauge and a double pod holder that attaches to the driver side pillar, the one I ordered was meant to be for a Punto but it didn't fit at all, so ended up completely reshaping them and broke one in the process, and then came up with a much better design and position I think for just a single pod.

I also chromed the front of the car looks very sweet, now going to chrome the rear and maybe redo the outline round the front in slightly wider chrome.

I debadged the sides (the Active Sport badges), I used a wallpaper steamer, which worked really well, a few minutes to heat up the steamer, stick the pipe on the badges for a few seconds and they peel of by hand!

I've changed the back to display Punto Sport (using the sport bit I cut of the Active-Sport badges that I debadged from the side repeaters )

I have added Fiat Mudflaps to the rear, looks very sporty! I have ones for the front but think I'll just leave them as it looks really nice as it is and front may overdo it. Think someone else somewhere in post on mudflaps said the same.
I did have a big problem as my exhaust is right behind the right rear wheel and so with the mudflap attached there is only a 20mm gap or so between the flap and the exhaust exit. RESULT: warping and nearly a hole burnt through the flap.
Anyone else faced this problem and have a solution? Obvious would be to move the exhaust, but I'll do that when I need a new exhaust which will be in a few months I think.
So for the moment I have screwed a Mild-Steel plate over the part burned/melted mudflap area to shield the mudflap from the hot exhaust air.

I've redone all my dodgy engine bay wiring, cause as someone commented it looks like a lot of green spaghetti everywhere and asking for trouble. I've rewired so there is a lot less wire, and now fed all my LED wires through the hole/rubber grommet where the bonnet release cable also enters the engine bay and into the fuse box on the drivers side and then to switches on my dash. Which also gives a great hookup for any future wiring.

Like to do/coming up:
- 100w subwoofer to be installed/wired
- Footwell lighting
- Alloy styling
- Rear Chroming
- Rear DRLs/LEDs
- Engine Bay styling
- side Mirror styling
- Interior styling, mainly dash
- Underseal + engine undertray (before winter hate the road salt everywhere!)

the chrome - i like the bumpers chrome
Suits down really well

But the grill.... nah i dont like it at all, if you like it - you like it thats what matters

I too have planned a possible Rear DRL, thinking in the mk2b's "spare reflectors"
Just a simple set of LED's to stay on with front DRL's

But alas, no easy access to them

The Mudflaps - the Punto mudflaps i have, sit close on the exhaust side as well
But as of yet - no signs of burning,
however mine dont have a horrible big fiat badge on them
Maybe get them badges in black - That would look tasty - black on white

thanks Ziggy, the pictures don't really do the chrome justice. I've bought some chrome bubble free car wrap a few mins ago and going to accentuate the more of the front bumper and same for the rear. Should look really ace. The grill in chrome takes a bit of getting used too, but it brings out the rest of the chrome and gives it a more beasting/audi style look. Also the black debadged grill on the black car is not very noticable, now it stands out more.

Like your idea of touching up the mudflaps and making the red fiat badge white. I'll give it a shot with some paint maybe tomorrow.

The rear DRLs should be easy enough job, just getting the wires from one end to the other and hiding them is a nuisance I think, that's put me off them.

I've got some thick 50mm or 60mm steel pipe in the garage and had thought about cutting 2 bits and sticking them through the rear grilles to give the effect of 2 sport exhausts. Totally fake ofcourse, but looks sporty, or not.. dunno, thoughts?

hey, new to these forums but had to ask, how did you manage to actually attach those mudflaps to the MK2b active sport bumper?

I've seen a few other related threads on mudflaps but none of them seem to give a definitive answer on how to fasten these mud guards on the MK2b active sport bumper?

I bought some recently and really want to get them on ASAP if possible

What was provided with the mudflaps?

If you have the ones that say PUNTO on them, they have sprung metal clips that are bastards to work with - but are push fit and clamp well

Untill like me - my exhaust melted the bumper and flap.....

i would just drill through flap and bumper lip and fasten with large headed self tappers or use acme speed bolts

I have the same ones on the black punto above but with blue fiat logo from ebay and just three screws for each mud flap

yeh I didnt think of the exhaust melting them, not sure if there is much of a work around that coz im sure mine will melt too. Hopefully will last a couple of months before they are completely destroyed if i can at least get them on!

as the mud flaps are completely flat there is nothing to attach to on the car, I can screw the tall part to the side of the bumper but there is nothing to attach the top horizontal part of the flap to.
I was almost considering scoring the top of the mudflap and folding it so its parallel to the ground and and drilling through the inside of the bottom of bumper lip (quite hard to explain).

I also have a quick question: Does the Punto Mk2b come with an Undertray? Mine doesn't have one, but when I was under the car trying to open my bonnet I could see the connection points/screw holes for a possible attachment of an undertray. If tried to check ebay and some of the members suppliers on here but couldn't see an undertray for the Mk2b or Mk3 as some suppliers seem to call them. Any one know where to get one? or perhaps have some dimensions to make one? I have a Galvanised thin sheet of metal lying around I could use
