So i couldn't find an existing post regarding this so here goes.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLACK-ELECTRIC-M3-DOOR-MIRRORS-BASES-FIAT-PUNTO-MK2-/160348710610?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item25558726d2

Like the look of these, but i understand there is a common issue with the base plates of mk2's and after market wing mirrors. something to do with the raised section where the mirror arm fits the car body.

these are supplies with what seems to be a plate that fits but the wool isnt easily pulled over my eyes with black and white text. anyone had any experience with these of similar?

yeah thanks i knew what they were but i don't trust that they will actually be Punto specific as they're also listed for clio saxo and other 3/5 doot hatches. think ill ask for a picture of the supplied base plates before purchase.
dont get me wrong i hope they are designed specifically but im not holding my breath :p

Well being totally honest what i dont like is the black plastic flexi hose style mirror arms on the stock ones and would much rather have something solid gloss black that will match the badgless grill im doing in high gloss and high gloss alloys i plan to fit or something i can color match and i cant spray that flexi crap it'll flake like hell with movement and to utter tosh. by the time you've accustomed your eyeballs to having looked in them to see that tart with the short skirt you just passed you've run up the woopsie of the blue rinsed micra

youve been warned
beware the ides of tat as oldhammer wisely says

get some chrome floor mats instead and slip a disc as you enter in the rain
lovly

Some of the Tat seems to be making acome back,
ive spied a few motor' recenctly mainly toy'otters and jap junk with neon tubes underneath, pffft been there done all that like 15 years ago,

sometimes updating original mirrors with a rattle can makes them look 50times better than any imported tat from wrong kong,

they is selling us back all our old bottles and plastic stuff we throw in the wheelie bin, ;)

Here is one of my old motor's iruined with plastic /chrome junk,

thought id post it up so you can have a laugh,
