I cut it off so i can get my bike in the car, Recon it would pass with this?

Thanks

If it's the rear seay back retainer it may fail for insecure seats... if the tester tries it of course... seatbelt provides some security for a passenger but the seat unrestrained could be now considered as part of a catapult considering the inertial forces at work in a collision.

the seat will go forward and the belt will stay still crushing the lucky passenger/s i would think. Depends if they spot it and the seats fall on them when trying the belts lol.

could you not just take the seats out if your not using them that way they wouldnt be part of the mot.

Aren't the seat held at either side, do you have to pull the little release handles before the seat fold forward.... also isn't that bar there to provide the 60/40 split to the seat and also to strengthen them.

Actually im curious to why you cut it off, as the seats fold completly flat if you pull the bottom of the seats forward. which makes loads more room.
