fitted a cone filter to my 1.9 m-jet , i know this is probibily normal but on accelerating i get a buzzing noise which is im guessing the turbo then i get the woosh when i come off the accelerator , is there anyway to get rid of the noise before the nice tshhhhhh ?

if you fit better pipe work from the turbo and locate it lower down in the engine bay it slightly decreases, but fiat obviously tried hard to iliminate the noise but lost performance by doing so. not sure if a better or different designed filter would make a difference, or theres the panel filter option in the original airbox.
I went for the easy option just fitted a pipper cross pannel filter in the original box. It has got to breath better than the standrd one as it was about 70% thinner than the standard one. As regarding noise since fitting the pannel filter i can hear the turbo spooling up now with the radio off and i must say it dose sound quite nice. Pitty it sounds like a tractor most of the time
