Want to lower my sporting but just wondered if anyone knows how low is best to go visually and comfort wise?
any input appreciated :)

You need coilovers to make a real visual difference as the grandes arches are so big.
As for comfort coilovers are hard and bouncy.
Most people say eibachs have a better ride than standard but they dont drastically change the looks.

Depends on your locality to an extent too - where I used to live the roads were well kept with no speed humps and hardly any potholes so a drop of about 60mm would've been fine, here though there are speedbumps and potholes every yard or so and with the Sei lowered 60/40mm it's a pretty harsh ride tbh.
Horses for courses and all that.

Yeah i think the eibachs are what im going to go for. dont really want coilovers tbh.. whats a good price for the sportlines?

Hi,

I am also looking at sportlines or the pro-kit, what is the comfort like on them?

I have a 1.4 8v at the moment so any of the two will make a good bit of difference :O lol

Thanks
Craig

I got Eibach springs on mine , hate them.

Car is so high, used to have FK Coilovers on my old punto... Loved them car was sitting beautiful(y)

Getting coils back on mine asap.

But good springs are cheap 100-120ish...

Coilovers are more pricey... depending what your looking for really.

Comfort = VERY expensive coils like 600-800

Or Looks = cheaper coils

Or just in between Good springs haha.

Was it the FK AK Street coilovers you had or something else?

yeah that was them paid 250 i think ?

these are what i would call 'cheap, basic' coils... but worked brilliant for myself

i had them wound right down , i'll try get a picture now .. but it wasnt terrible comfort it was bumpy as you'd expect (y)

Sportlines = Lower but harsher
Pro Kit = Higher but comfier

I would get coilovers straight away but the problems with popping drive shafts are common among those who are super low. Although iirc most of those are with t-jets and not the n/a 1.4?
I have the sportlines and the ride isnt much worse than with standard springs but the ride improves greatly with some matching dampers.
