Hello everyone, I have strange problem with my Fiat Tipo T-jet. Usually where the car sits overnight or sometimes just after few hours of car being idle I do have Low oil pressure warning that pops up on dash and dissapears after second or so. If the car sits overnight I can hear lifters and they go quiet just at the same moment as the message dissapears. Oil level is correct, oil is new so is the filter (Bosch), switch is also replaced and actuall oil pressure measured with external gage. During the measurement there was slight delay after start because we had to drain the oil galleries when I removed the swich and installed the reduction for manometer. The results were fine - 2,5 Bar on idle speed and 4 Bar above 2500 RPM, regulator works as pressure wont go past 6 Bar when reving the engine. It sorta looks like the pump or oil filter is losing its prime. My T-jet does not have spin on filter but replacable insert that is clipped on Purflux type plastic cap and srewed into alumium oil cooler assembly. Is there some kind of check valve in that cooler that might be failing?
