Lost Logbook

Hello,

My seicento has been off the road for a couple of months as ive been running the bravo and couldnt be bothered to tax it. Because i filled out a SORN declaration i need the V5 to tax it... But i cant find it anywhere! Is there any way i can tax my car without waiting "3 to 4 weeks" for the new logbook to come through the post???

Im still hoping it will turn up somewhere.... Along with my driving licence

Nope, thanks to the new regulations its now harder for people like us who want to pay for a tax disc to get one but its just as easy for all the gits out there who don't bother to continue driving untaxed.

They REALLY ****ed that one up.

oh this just takes the f*cking pi$$

My dad seems to think if i go to the regional DVLA office they might be able to sort something out for me. Any thought? I have a certificate of insurance, an MOT, and even a v5/2 (new owners part of the v5). Just not the complete document!

Yeah, your Dad is right, if you go into a DVLA regional office with those documents they should be able to help you,
note: not a post office
Same thing happened to me mate - the office in Manchester were able to help me out and I walked out with the tax disc

all sorted now. the regional office were able to do it. Its been an expensive weekend...

£40 seicento MOT
£60 seicento tax
£250 bravo clutch

The clutch took the guy at the garage "a lot longer than expected." They have had 2 or 3 guys working on it all day and they hadnt quite finished at 5pm. Apparently you are supposed to remove most of the sub-frame inc the power steering rack to get at it, although they didnt actually do that.

He reckons he never wants to do another bravo clutch ever, as he hasnt made any money on it.

He showed me the old clutch, there wasnt a scrap of clutch lining left on it! just a nice metal plate with a cover and a few bits of dust.
